| This qualification will be done by assessment at
our centre, and can either be included within a training course of
at least 25 days in duration, or may be taken as a stand-alone
qualification for external students (who must have previously
undertaken a training course either at our centre or elsewhere) –
4 days will need to be booked for assessment for external
students, although they may be completed in a shorter timescale by
experienced groomers.
To complete the qualification, there is also a requirement to
undertake an external written examination. This examination will
take place in June and November each year, either at the Pet Care
Trust offices in Bedford or at another venue to be arranged,
subject to demand.
Please note we cannot guarantee that all students will be ready
to be assessed for this qualification after the specified training
period. If we feel more training is needed, this will be discussed
with you during your course.
