Lesley is a regular demonstrator/speaker at grooming seminars, and organises many educational events.  Before he sadly passed away, she showed her Affenpinscher at Championship show level and competed successfully with him at Crufts on several occasions.  She does agility for fun with her American Hairless Terrier and enjoys supporting her daughter, Lottie, who competes in grooming competitions, including YKC Groomer of the Year, which she has been placed in every year since she was 7 years old, winning it overall when she was 11 (the youngest ever winner of the competition overall at the time of writing).

Lottie is Lesley's daughter and she has been grooming since she was 6 years old and has competed in grooming competitions since she was 7, winning many awards along the way, including the prestigious Young Kennel Club Groomer of the Year at Crufts when she was only 11 years old.  Lottie is a kind, patient and talented groomer and we have many customers who ask for Lottie to groom their dogs personally.  Lottie is also a talented athlete, specialising in the heptathlon.  She has competed for Somerset in national events and will shortly be attending Bath University on a degree course in sport performance.

Carl joined the business as it expanded and is proprietor of the grooming arm of Canine Design. He is City & Guilds Level 2 qualified and has achieved his 3rd and final practical examination for his C&G Level 3 Advanced qualification

Lesley and Carl’s daughter, Millie, joined Canine Design in July 2015, after having completed a 2 year music course at Strode College.  Millie is working at front of house, dealing with reception, making appointments and dealing with telephone enquiries, and generally ensuring that everything in the salon is ticking over efficiently

Maria joined us at Canine Design as an apprentice in November 2014.

Maria’s love of dogs led her to choose to pursue a career in dog grooming.

Maria has achieved her C&G Level 2 in Dog Grooming and has completed all the practical components of the Level 3.  She is undertaking the final part of this qualification - the Evolve exam - in November this year.  Maria is in the process of opening her own dog grooming salon, but still grooms at Canine Design on a self employed basis.
