Lesley is a regular demonstrator/speaker at grooming seminars, and organises many educational events.  Before he sadly passed away, she showed her Affenpinscher at Championship show level and competed successfully with him at Crufts on several occasions.  She does agility for fun with her American Hairless Terrier and enjoys supporting her daughter, Lottie, who competes in grooming competitions, including YKC Groomer of the Year, which she has been placed in every year since she was 7 years old, winning it overall when she was 11 (the youngest ever winner of the competition overall at the time of writing).

Kelly trained at Canine Design in 2004 when she was only 17 years old and spent the next 10 years running her own dog grooming salon and training school with her mum, Gill.

She then joined us as a senior groomer in May 2014 and quickly developed into a valuable member of the team.  She is City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced qualified, holds her PTTLLS teaching qualification and is currently in the process of undertaking her Higher Diploma in dog grooming.  Kelly won the title of YKC Groomer of the Year in 2009.

In September 2015 Kelly was promoted to Salon and Training Manager.  She is an amazing groomer and a talented and popular teacher

Carl joined the business as it expanded and is proprietor of the grooming arm of Canine Design. He is City & Guilds Level 2 qualified and has achieved his 3rd and final practical examination for his C&G Level 3 Advanced qualification

Lesley and Carl’s daughter, Millie, joined Canine Design in July 2015, after having completed a 2 year music course at Strode College.  Millie is working at front of house, dealing with reception, making appointments and dealing with telephone enquiries, and generally ensuring that everything in the salon is ticking over efficiently

Maria joined us at Canine Design as an apprentice in November 2014.

Maria’s love of dogs led her to choose to pursue a career in dog grooming.

She is currently undertaking an Animal Care Level 2 course at Bridgwater College and will be embarking on her Introductory C&G Level 3 in Dog Grooming with us at Canine Design on completion of her Animal Care Course.
